River Childrens' Centre in Lydney commissioned a design from Stella Caws MSGD and Alex Johnson to transform their gardens for pre-school children. The newly opened Centre has two small garden areas which have been getting a lot of wear and tear.  Use of  artificial turf will save the ground, and the gardens will  contain a variety of stimulating features - a willow tunnel, a sunken classroom, and areas where children grow vegetables and flowers.

Construction is being undertaken by Classic Landscapes of Stinchcombe.

Wildlife will be encouraged with bird boxes and plants to encourage insects and butterflies.

The garden will be open for play again in September.
