Design within ecologically fragile landscapes

With a background in botany and ecology, and working with consultant ecologists, where appropriate Alex will concentrate on interventions which disturb the existing flora as little as possible. Restoration may result in the design being "invisible"; other sites require introducing a new ecological succession where the landscape and soil have been seriously degraded.

Water Consumption

We believe that well designed and appropriate planting should not require watering beyond the first year of establishment, and consequently we seldom recommend the installation of mains water irrigation.

However we do advise on water harvesting for practicality, ornament and enjoyment in Rain Gardens.
